Conversion events are desired actions on an HTML page that a visitor performs. You can add conversion events to baseline, split, and multivariate projects.
There are four conversion event types you can add to an Optimize project:
A conversion is recorded each time a specified URL (or one in a group of URLs) is loaded by a test.
A conversion is recorded each time one or more of the specified HTML elements is clicked.
A conversion is recorded each time a visitor exceeds a predefined minimum visit time, measured in seconds.
Triggers the Optimize conversion event script and runs any user-defined script whenever a Script Event occurs on one or more HTML elements on a specified page.
For On Click and Custom events, you can use the ID of HTML element as the trigger for a conversion when clicked by a visitor. The element ID must match the ID of the HTML element in the web page you want to test. It must be unique within the project, begin with a letter (A-Z, a-z) and may be followed by any number of letters, digits (0-9), hyphens "-", underscores "_", colons ":", and periods ".".
