A summary of new features, and the changes and adjustments you'll need to make in Version 2 URIs to make them work in Version 3.

New Features

Analytics 10 support
The API now retrieves data on spaces, as well as external data (websites, iOS data and Facebook applications). It also supports numeric profile IDs (in addition to the original alphanumeric IDs).
Trending improvements
Multi-dimensional trending with the period_type parameter is available for all reports, without any additional configuration.
Easier to select measures
Measures are now identified with their ordinal, so you can select them with measure1*measure2...
JSONP support
Make JSONP requests using the new callback parameter with a URI in the requesting page.
Scenario analysis support
All scenario analysis reports are fully supported.

New data output formats and data changes

The API now escapes commas within values.

HTML and CSV are now available for these methods:

Note: Report data in XML, XML2 and JSON formats now represents calendar dates in ISO 8601 format: YYYY-MM-DD. The JSON data structure for dates is also different in version 3. In prior versions, the calendar date October 10, 2011 was represented like this:
