Setting the Report Calendar

The calendar indicates the selected date or date range for the report shown in the report pane. The clickable dates in the calendar correspond to the dates for web activity that Webtrends has finished analyzing.

Saving Custom and Default Date Ranges

In the calendar, you can:
  • Use a standard date range (today, 24h, this week, 7d, 28d, this month, 91d, or 365d)
  • Select and save a custom date range
  • Compare data for two date ranges in the same or different profiles

You have the flexibility to save a date range as a favorite, delete list values, and make a value in the list a default.

Adding a custom date range as a favorite
  1. Choose Other from the drop-down list of favorites and then click Rolling date range.
  2. Select the check box to add the date range as a favorite.

Making a favorites list value the default range/Deleting a favorites list value
Hover over the item and then click the editing wheel for options.
  • If you delete a standard value, such as 7d, 28d, 91d, or 365d, you can recreate it and add it to the favorites list.
  • The today and 24h settings are exceptions and cannot be modified, deleted, or made the default setting.
You can also set a specific value as the default range when you set a rolling date range.

Identifying the default range
Click the editing wheel next to items in the list until you see the item flagged as your default range.
Note: If a list value is a default, you cannot delete it. Make another list value the default so you can delete the previous default value.

Setting specific date ranges
  1. Choose Other from the drop-down list of favorites and then click Specific dates.
  2. Select dates on the calendar and then click Apply.

Setting rolling date ranges
  1. Choose Other from the drop-down list of favorites and then click Rolling date range.
  2. Select a number of days (such as Last 40 Days) or a set period of time (such as This Week).
    • Last n days is a custom trailing report. It excludes the current date because analysis is performed on complete days only. For example, if today is July 30, the Last 10 Days would be July 19 to July 29. Facebook posts and Twitter tweets include the most recent data through the latest hour. You can also compare a custom trailing range to the previous n days.
    • This Week, Month, Quarter, or Year displays the current calendar for the specified profile. By default, the calendar opens highlighting the day for which analysis was most recently completed. If analysis was done for 7/28/91/365 days, the most recent 7/28/91/365 days is highlighted.
Comparing ranges
After you select a specific date range or rolling date range, select the Compare to check box in the same dialog.
  • Select time periods on two calendars so you can compare the resulting data.
  • If you adjust the range for one calendar, the range for the other calendar adjusts automatically.
  • You can compare the custom range to a date range in the same profile or another profile in the list.
