These videos will show you how to get the best performance out of Webtrends Optimize. It’s a good idea to watch them in the sequence they are shown. Each video is less than 6 minutes in length and provides simple instructions that are easy to follow. Please view them in the order to ensure you get the best experience.

 

 
Step 1 – Installing the Google Chrome Extensions
You will need to ensure that both the Google Chrome extensions are installed first as these will reveal essential menu items for advanced reporting. Watch the video to see how.

Step 2 – Understand the basic principle of optimisation
Make yourself familiar with web page optimisation principles. Understanding what to do and when to do it is an important part of getting a solid foundation for all of your future tests.
 
Step 3 – Which type of test should I choose?
There is one further piece of information you may need before you begin. What type of test should i run? AB, ABn or Multivaritate. Find out here.

Step 4 – Creating your first test
If you have followed all of the previous stages, view this easy to follow, step-by-step guide to building your first test within Webtrends Optimize
 
Step 4 – Segmentation – Principles and best practice
Learn the basic principles of segmentation and how to select your audience.This will help you to create different audiences to ensure the right people are included (or excluded) from your tests.

Step 5 – Dashboard and reporting
Run through the new functionality within the dashboard and see the advanced reporting capabilities – You will need to have downloaded the Chrome extensions to take advantage of these new features.

One of the first tasks is to install the Webtrends tag on your website. See how. You will need to have downloaded the Chrome extensions to discover your individualised tag.

Adding users to the reporting UI
To provide your users with the best experience and increased reporting functionality you will ned to provide them with login details of the reporting UI.
